Tip of the Week: The Art Project Powered by Google!
A visit to a museum is a luxury for me – it’s a day away from the ordinary and an escape into another world. I return feeling cultured, relaxed and slightly more educated! If time or distance doesn’t allow you this luxury as often as you’d like, Google’s Art Project could be the perfect way to bring these benefits to your life without leaving your desk or your kitchen counter!
The Art Project allows you to visit museums around the world from your laptop, moving virtually around the museums’ galleries, selecting works of art that interest you, navigating floor plans and learning more about each museum as you explore its collections.
The works of art are viewed at high resolution and allow the viewer to zoom in on paintings. There is an information panel that offers more commentary about each piece of art and assists in discovering additional works by that artist.
