Spring I. 2012 Trend Alert

Happy 2012 dear readers.  We’ve combined January and Februarys’ post to give you more bang for your buck. This month(s) fashion foray is all about color.  We’re breaking down the trendiest hues right here for you.  Or if you wanna talk like a ‘wise guy’, we’re breaking down the hues for you’s (and it rhymes).

Numero Uno-

Tantalizing tangerine is at the top of most editors’ list this spring season.  Bright, sassy, bold and sunny, tangerine is gracing dresses, gowns, pant suits and swimsuits.  If you don’t take our expert word for it, check out Vogue’s recap of the dreamy color here.

Silver Medal Winner-

The next hue?  Blue.  Ocean blues to be specific.  Blue looks great on most peeps and with the sea as the inspiration this ‘sea’son, you’re sure to find the right hue for you (there I go again).
Janna Conner Designs dedicated an entire jewelry collection to the trend, and she’s not the only one.  A favorite read of ours, Fashionologie.com earmarked the trend swimmingly here, just choose neutral accessories and remember, when choosing to wear a print, don’t let the print wear you.

Last, but not least-

In third place is yellow.  Whether vibrant or mellow, a pinch of yellow adds a punch of color to any wardrobe.  Since the lemon fellow, yellow, has been around for a few spring seasons now, the good news is there’s oodles of yellow to choose from: bags, shoes, jewelry, swimwear, ready-to-wear, you have the pick of the litter.  We’ve pulled our favey favorites but ‘hue’ decide how to wear it:
