Reusable Shopping Bags

Reusable Shopping Bags – Revisited!

It was almost two years ago that I first wrote about reusable shopping bags, recommending a bunch of bags that were both eco-friendly and attractive.  Since then, reusable bags have become almost a way of life for many of us!  If it’s time for you to get into this habit or time for an update – here are some fun new suggestions!

From the Feed Project

Purchasing a reusable bag from this charitable organization not only helps the environment, but also supports the World Food Program.  The bags, made of burlap and cotton, are printed on both sides.  The front of the bag reads “Feed the Children of the World” and the back features a number – a number that lets you know just how many meals your purchase will provide for a hungry child.  For example, the Feed 1 Bag will supply lunch for a child in Africa every day for a year!  (Feed 1 Bag, $60)  The Feed Haiti Tote is the latest addition to the line.  (Feed Haiti, $35)

From Vera Bradley

In typical Vera style, this shopper’s tote lets you shop pretty and green for only $12!  (in stores only: Vera Shoppers’ Tote)

From Lilly Pulitzer

Lilly’s classic pink has gone green with two adorable market bags that offer endless uses! (Lilly Pulitzer Market Bags, $9.95)

From B. Happy Bags

This site has a reusable grocery bag for everyone!  Available in 32 fabulous patterns of upholstery weight cotton, these bags measure a roomy 15 x 12 x 8.   I love the “Candy” and “Lucy” patterns! (B. Happy Bags, $15)

From Perpetual Kid

I had to include this bag because it was just too cute!  The Strawberry Reusable Shopping Bag is pink, patterned with strawberries and folds inside out into a little strawberry pouch! (Strawberry Reusable Shopping Bag, $7.49)

Depending upon the fashion statement you’d like to make, there’s definitely a reusable bag for you!  Add a fun touch to your daily errands and feel good about the environment at the same time!
