Tip of the Week – Repurposing Old Vases

As you might have guessed from my earlier article on this year’s enamel bangle trend, I fell for these bracelets in a big way! Different widths, colors and designs – I needed them all (see Trendy Bangle Bracelets)! And once those bangles joined my jewelry collection, they also needed a place to be stored. Typically, I keep very little on my bedroom dresser in an attempt to maintain some semblance of order, but for my bangle collection I made an exception!

This repurposing made me inordinately pleased! The vase was no longer in a storage closet, my bracelets were visible and neatly organized, and my bureau had a bright, new decoration on it! And even if you haven’t collected bangles like I have, a recyled glass container can house all sorts of small accessories: rings, hair ties, pins or whatever just happens to be your favorite thing!

Here’s to this idea and all of the little things that can bring us a bit of happiness!
