Here are two great party recipes that are a sure hit with little ones to teens.   Both easy to do ahead.  For older children, serve with a salad and garlic bread.

Baked Ziti

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pound Dry Ziti Pasta
  • 2 (26 ounce) Jars Spagetti Sauce
  • 6 ounces Provolone Cheese Slices
  • 1 1/2c. Sour Cream
  • 6 ounces Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesean Cheese

Directions:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.   Add pasta and cook until al dente, drain.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degress F (175 degrees C).  Butter a 9  x 13 inch baking dish.
  • Layer ingredients in the pan as follows:  1/2 of the ziti, provolone cheese, sour cream and 1/2 of the sauce.  Remaining ziti, mozzarella cheese and remaining sauce.  Top with parmesean cheese.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.

 

Chocolate Bundt Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 Package Chocolate Devil’s Food Cake Mix
  • 1 Small Package Instant Chocolate Pudding
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 3/4 Cups Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 12 ounces Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 Cup Confectioners Sugar

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F  (175 degrees C).
  • Combine first 6 ingredients and blend well.
  • Blend in chocolate chips.
  • Grease and flour a bundt baking pan.
  • Fill pan with cake batter.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until pick comes out clean.
  • Take cake out of pan and place on a cake plate.
  • Sprinkle with Confectioners Sugar
