Quick Tips for Keeping in Touch with your Camper!
When my son went to sleep away camp last summer, the camp’s “no phone” rule made written correspondence our only means of communication. And I’m sure that you won’t be surprised to learn that I was a much better correspondent than my eleven year old! While I was busy trying to get a letter off to him almost daily, he barely managed two short postcards to us during the three weeks he was away!
But this summer I have new plans for both me and my son!
For me: I’m planning to pre-address and stamp a bunch of envelopes to make my outgoing mail to camp easier and quicker to get into the mailbox!
For my son: Last summer I bought him stationery and a book of stamps, but this year, he’s not leaving home without note cards that have been pre-addressed to our family, his grandparents and cousins, with the stamps already in place! There should be no excuses this time!
- The Wrinkled Egg – For some adorable camp stationery for girls and boys check out The Wrinkled Egg.
- Red Stamp – Another great source is Red Stamp. For Boys see - Hi From Camp Graphic. For Girls see – Hi From Camp Flowers.

I hope that my family’s ideas will help you and your camper to stay in touch this summer!
