Tip of the Week – Celebrate the 2010 Olympics!
Only nine days to go to the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver! The Olympics offer us a unique (rare perhaps!?) opportunity to watch television as a family, rooting for favorite athletes while marveling at their abilities and what it takes to be an Olympian.
And enjoying the games doesn’t have to begin and end in front of the TV! There are fabulous resources to enhance this special experience that only comes around every four years!
- The Official Site of the Games: includes schedules and results.
- Host an Olympic Themed Party (planned by Busy Bee!)
- Resources for bringing the Games into the Classroom
- Follow the Olympic Torch on an Interactive Map
- Shop for Olympic Gear and Souvenirs
- Discover the Greek Origins of the Olympics
- Learn about Vancouver
- Olympic Games, Activities and Crafts
With all of these resources, you’ll surely be ready to let the games begin!
