Long, Lean and Fashionably Ready for Life

thebarmethodWhat’s the real secret to looking great in fashion?  Is there actually one form of exercise that works better than others?  The answer is YES and every woman should consider making it a regular part of her weekly routine — not just to look great in clothes, but more importantly to maintain a longer, leaner, healthier body for life.

Bar Method

The workout I’m referring to, the bar method, is a combination of ballet-based training, strength building and stretching.  I know it all sounds familiar but I promise you — it’s not. The moves are slight and tight, creating a burning sensation that lets you clearly know it’s working. Devote about a half hour, three times a week.  It’s worth it. No equipment needed other than a chair.

Back in the late 80’s it was known as the Lotte Berk methodPersonal trainer to the stars, Felix Schmitt, who I consider the best in the business introduced me to the technique and I still practice it today.

If you’re serious about keeping your body young and straight forever, take the time and try it.  You won’t be disappointed.

Thanks, Pam, for the mention. I wanted to add that Bar Method founder Burr Leonard (who owned the Lotte Berk franchises in Connecticut from 1991 to 2001) has a fantastic blog out. Catch her blogs on fitness at http://Blog.BarMethod.com. And if you want to try a class, we have 7 locations in Southern California now and others around the country.
    Best,
