Meal Time Mayhem! A Fun and Funny Way to Share Dinner with Your Family!
This fun game is perfect for an April Fool’s Day dinner or any other night that you are looking to enliven a family meal! And rest assured that it’s not what you’re eating that’s crazy, but how you go about it!
How to Play
Decide Upon a Menu
Make a list detailing each component of your menu (any dinner fare will work). So, for example, if you are planning to serve tacos, here’s what your list will look like:
*Ground beef *Chopped lettuce *Diced tomatoes *Shredded cheese*Sour cream *Taco shell *Plate *Cup *Knife *Fork *Spoon *Milk (or other beverage) *Ice cream (or other dessert)
Copy and Cut Up Your Menu List
Next, make one copy of this list for each member of your family members and cut each list into strips, one item per strip. Place a complete set of strips into a mug or bowl designated for each person.
Have Each Family Member Draw Three Items at a Time
Once the meal is prepared and your family is gathered around the table, have each person draw three items from the mug, and that is exactly what their first course will be – even if it’s sour cream, milk (no cup!) and a fork! You’ll need to rinse dishes and repeat the process a few times in order to get through your meal, but each course is bound to bring lots of laughs.
Eating with your hands, drinking straight from the milk carton, or enjoying ice cream with shredded cheddar cheese are bound to bring smiles to your kids’ faces and create some really fun memories. Laugh along as the family dinner hour turns into “meal time mayhem!”
