Ingredients
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1/2 large onion, chopped
- 1 large bell pepper, chopped
- 3/4 of one small can evaporated milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 and 1/2 packages of crackers (sleeves of a cracker like Ritz)
- 1 bottle A-1 Sweet and Tangy Steak sauce
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1/2 of a medium sized bottle of ketchup
For Glaze
- 1/3 c. dark Karo syrup
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, bell pepper, A-1 sauce, 1/2 bottle of ketchup and tomato sauce.
- In a small bowl, beat the 2 eggs and add the evaporated milk.
- Pour into the meat mixture and mix thoroughly.
- Add enough crackers to make the mixture stick together.
- This will make enough for 2 meat loaves.
- Mold meat into two loaf pans.
- Bake at 350 degrees, approximately 90 minutes.
- Combine glaze ingredients and pour over the meatloaves.
- Bake again uncovered until the coating is cooked.
- Slice and serve!
