What’s for Dinner – Beef Tips in Pink Sauce
Serves 6
Ingredients
- 2 T. butter
- ½ c. chopped onion
- ¼ c. Marsala wine
- 6 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 t. garlic powder
- 1 t. Italian seasoning
- 3 lbs. lean beef stew meat
- 1 (16 ounce) jar Alfredo style pasta sauce
- 1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
- Pasta
Directions
- Melt 1 T. of the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Saute onion and mushrooms until soft.
- Add a sprinkle each of the wine, garlic powder, seasoning and stir together. Remove mixture from the skillet.
- Add remaining wine, garlic powder, seasoning and butter to the skillet.
- Add beef and sauté until browned, about 7 to 10 minutes. If the skillet becomes too dry, you can add a small amount of water to the pan.
- Drain off meat, reserving skillet liquid. Add the mushroom/onion mixture to the meat. Stir in Alfredo sauce and tomato sauce. Stir all together, adding reserved skillet liquid, as needed,. if the sauce is too thick.
- Serve over pasta.
