Cooking with Friends

cookingwithfriendsclub.com - this is a new website founded by Alison Bermack and featured in the Hallmark Magazine article mentioned in Create a Cooking Club.  Alison describes her site as “an interactive community of women who view cooking not as a chore or burden, but as a creative outlet and a way to solidify a bond with a friend.”  She hopes that the group “will become a resource for cooking dates, recipe swapping, equipment sharing and more.” I joined her club today!!

Cooking Among Friends

cookingamongfriends.com - this site focuses upon “supper swapping” and encourages women to get together, make menu plans and swap recipes.  Group members cook a meal or two in “bulk” on their own schedule and in their own homes.  The fun and friendship comes in when you get together with your fellow chefs to swap the meals you’ve prepared and decide on the next week’s menu!  All the details you need to get started are on the website!  This site also sells its own cookbook, Cooking Among Friends and offers resources for purchasing disposable aluminum tins with foil board lids!

Amazon offers two cookbooks dedicated to the idea of supper swapping, The Great American Supper Swap by Trish Berg (also available on Trishberg.com) and Supper Swapping by Susan Thacker.

Do you have an idea for cooking with friends that you’d like to share?  I’d  love to hear!
