I recently went to a luncheon and found the cutest party favor at my place setting!  The hostess had assembled a “Holiday Survival Kit” for each guest!  Inside of a little gift bag were the following candies and a pretty note with this explanation on the back:

  • A Stick of Gum… to remind you to stick with it
  • A Red Hot… to light your fire when you feel burned out
  • A DumDum… for a time that you might feel that way
  • A Chocolate Promise… that the holidays will end before you know it
  • A Tootsie Roll… to remind you not to bite off more than you can chew
  • A Starburst… to give you a burst of energy when you don’t have any
  • Smarties… to remind you that you are smart!
  • A Gift Bag… to help you keep it together and give you food for thought!
