Shopping Resources for Glass Ornaments and Vintage Decorations!

During two editions of Busy Bee Live, I demonstrated decorating ideas using my personal collection of antique glass ornaments and snowy, vintage looking Christmas trees. If you haven’t been collecting these decorations, don’t worry a bit – I have some terrific resources

Glass Ornaments

Sur La Table – this cook’s catalog offers a fabulous selection of handmade glass ornaments in fun and whimsical shapes. There are vegetables, fast foods like pizza and popcorn, chocolate dipped strawberries, ice cream cones, hot cocoa and more! (surlatable.com $6.95 to $14.95)

Bottle Brush Trees

“Bottle brush” refers to an old fashioned style of artificial trees made originally of boar bristle and coated with faux snow!

Room Service Home – another favorite of mine, this catalog offers beautiful ivory bottle brush trees trimmed with silver garland, snow and ornaments. (roomservicehome.com, three sizes or one set of four, $18 to $74) Glittered cardboard houses that look great with the trees are also available!

Home Traditions – this website carries a wide array of vintage inspired pieces by “Bethany Lowe’s Antique Christmas.” Here you’ll find green and ivory bottle brush trees along with “antique” ornaments, Santas and more. (hometraditions.com)
