Tip of the Week - Christmas Fun for Kids!

I know that it seems impossible to make Christmas even more fun for kids, but I have two new ideas to share!

Elf on the Shelf $29.95

The Elf on the Shelf

The first is called “The Elf on the Shelf!”  This cute idea is a combination of a vintagey looking little elf and a story book which describes how this elf has come to your home to keep an eye on the children and report back to Santa each night about their behavior!  During the weeks before Christmas, the elf magically disappears each evening and reappears each morning in a different spot, with a bit of help from mom and dad!  This new tradition is a fun and clever way to encourage top notch manners at an important time of the year! (roomservicehome.com, $29.99)

Try Jingling

The second idea comes directly from Busy Bee Lifestyle!  Given the tremendous interest our readers had in the Halloween activity of “Booing,” we created a Christmas version titled “Jingling!”  The festivities begin by choosing two families to “jingle” and secretly delivering treat bags to their homes.  Include in the bag a sign for the recipient to hang in their window that lets neighbors know they’ve been “jingled” and a poem that gives them the scoop on how to jingle two more families!  Take a look at You’ve Been Jingled for more details on Jingling and some fun treat suggestions!

Give one of these new ideas a try this Christmas and add a new twist to this wonderful season of celebration!
