About Us

Welcome to Busy Bee Lifestyle! For readers who might be interested in susan.jpglearning about the source of the information found on Busy Bee, it comes simply from my own “busy” mind! I am the extremely “busy” (sorry, I just couldn’t help myself!) mother of three children, ages 14, 10 and 7, the caretaker of a kind, but forgetful husband, and devotee of a little white dog with a big attitude! My educational background includes a BA from The College of the Holy Cross and a law degree from Villanova. After several years in the working world, I happily “retired” to full time parenthood, excessive volunteer work and a vow to improve my tennis game! Being at home also gave me some extra time to do more of what I love - celebrating birthdays, entertaining on holidays and acknowledging the changing seasons with fun family activities and decorations, both inside and outside of my home!

Busy Bee Lifestyle was the brain child of my dear friend, tennis partner and now business partner, Kim. Kim shares her “busy” life with her 14 year old daughter, kind, but absent-minded husband and two little white, fluffy dogs! In March of 2006, she approached me with the idea of starting a unique website dedicated to busy women interested in adding special touches to everyday life, incorporating the ideas on decorating, entertaining and celebratory touches that I was practicing in my own home! With Kim’s educational background, a BA in English from Colgate University and an MBA from Wharton, she was a perfect fit as the site’s editor, business manager and the source of the Busy Bee’s layout and design!

The past year has been a whirlwind, but also insanely rewarding as we’ve touched the lives of women (and a few men!) across the globe! There is an amazing community of women working on similar Internet ventures who offer us support, encouragement and new linking opportunities every day! In addition to these Internet connections, Busy Bee Lifestyle has given us an unpredictable, but wonderful benefit: the wholehearted interest and support of our families! Busy Bee progress is a constant topic at our dinner tables from the youngest child to both husbands! What an important element for any venture!

Thank you for your readership! Each and every Busy Bee reader is essential to our ongoing success!

Fondly,
Susan
