Blue Cheese Vodka Balls

1/2c. blue cheese
1/2c. cream cheese
1 T. peppered flavored vodka
1 T. fresh, chopped parsley
1/2c. toasted sesame seeds

Cream together the first 4 ingredients until smooth.  Refrigerate for 35 minutes.  Roll into balls and then roll in the sesame seeds until covered evenly.  Refrigerate until you are ready to serve.

The Winner Cocktail Recipe

As suggested in InStyle magazine.  Serves 12.

4c. tangerine or orange juice
1/4c. Rose’s sweetened lime juice
1c. vodka
12 T. boysenberry or blackberry syrup
1 bottle chilled champagne
lime slices or blackberries for garnish

Liquid Legend Recipe

As suggested in InStyle magazine.  Serves 10. 

1 1/2c. Bacardi Coco rum
1 1/2c. pineapple juice
3/4c. brandy
1/2c. sweetened coconut cream
2 tsp. almond extract

Combine all ingredients and chill.  Serve in ice filled glasses and garnish with pineapples and cherries.

Oscar 79 Cocktails

As suggested in InStyle magazine: 

2 bottles sparkling wine
Mango liquor, try Hiram Walker Fruja

Fill flutes with the sparkling wine and add a splash of the liquor.

Artichoke Bruschetta

2 14 oz. cans artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
2 ripe medium plum tomatoes, diced
1/2c. chopped red onion
1/2c. grated Pecorino Romano cheese
1/4c. mayonnaise
salt and pepper to taste
1 baguette, sliced and toasted

Baked Brie

Ingredients:

2 T. brown sugar
2 T. pecan halves, roughly chopped
1 sheet pastry puff
1 3 1/2″ wheel of Brie, about 8 to 10 ounces
1 egg, lightly beaten

Directions:

Heat oven to 400 degrees. 
Line a baking sheet with foil.  In a small bowl, combine sugar and pecans.  Set aside.

Marinated Tomatoes and Olives

2 c. assorted imported olives
2 pints cherry tomatoes
3 T. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 T. white balsamic vinegar
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.  Toss.  Marinate for 1 hour at room temperature.

Parmesan Garlic Dip Recipe

1 8 oz. container sour cream
1/4 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. salt
white pepper to taste

Blend all ingredients and serve with crackers and fresh vegetables.
